Members of the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators (IAAE) nominated Dr. Michael Retallick for the Teacher Mentor Award (sponsored by Cargill Animal Nutrition through the Iowa FFA Foundation). He was selected for the award and a plaque was presented at the Iowa Agricultural Educators Conference in Ankeny on June 24, 2015. This award was presented to Dr. Retallick for his continuing mentorship that begins with students here at ISU. He encourages students in Agriculture and Life Sciences Education to become teachers and works with them after they become teachers. He has made long-term commitments to work with colleagues in agricultural education at the secondary and postsecondary levels.
