    About the Conference

This is the 7th consecutive year of a collaborative conference partnership of 1890 land-grant universities, 1862 land-grant universities, and public and private universities who are focused on developing people in and through agriculture, food, natural resources, and human sciences.

This collaborative partnership combines three groups into one integrated conference: (1) 2023 North Central AAAE Conference; (2) National Conference on Learner-Centered Teaching (NCLCT); and, (3) the M.E.N.T.O.R. Convening. The NCLCT and M.E.N.T.O.R. projects focus on building capacities among Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Predominately White Institutions.

The National Learner-Centered Teaching Partnership provides pedagogical support and energizes professors to teach more diverse student populations and improves their productivity and the educational quality of all students. The Partnership works to build a sense of community and develop synergistic ideas to prepare faculty at 1890 land-grant universities and HBCUs (historically Black Colleges and Universities) to adopt and integrate learner-centered instruction for enhancing student learning across food, agricultural, and human sciences.
